Micromax Canvas 5 launched for Rs. 11,999
Micromax has launched its latest flagship smartphone under the Canvas series, the Canvas 5. It sports a premium design with a metallic frame and a leather-finish rear panel that is removable.
The Micromax Canvas 5 features a 5.2-inch 1080p curved screen with slim bezels and a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass 3 to protect it against scratches. It is powered by 1.3GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6753 64-bit processor paired with Mali-t720 GPU, 3GB DDR3 RAM and 16GB expandable storage. There is a 13-megapixel rear camera and 5-megapixel front facing camera, both accompanied by LED flash. The rear camera is capable of locking focus on the subject in 0.2 seconds, thanks to the PDAF technology.
The LTE-enabled device supports India’s FDD-LTE band 3 and TDD-LTE band 40 4G networks. It runs Android 5.1 Lollipop which is upgradable to Android 6.0 Marshmallow in the near future. The Micromax Canvas 5 is priced at Rs. 11,999 and will be available from online and offline stores starting today. It is being bundled with double data offer from Airtel and comes with 7 day door step service policy. In case if there is any issue with the device, it will be repaired with the said time period or user will get a replacement.
