Swipe ELITE 2 is India's most affordable 4G smartphone at Rs. 4,666


Swipe introduced its online only sub brand ELITE in August and the first smartphone under the brand was also called SWIPE. The handset was priced at Rs. 5,999. Now the brand has added a new smartphone to its protfolio called Swipe ELITE 2. 

The Swipe ELITE didn't support 4G LTE connectivity, but its successor, the ELITE 2 does have support for 4G LTE and joins the club of the most affordable 4G LTE enabled handset in the sub- Rs. 5,000 range in the country.

As for specs, the Swipe ELITE 2 features 4.5-inch qHD (960 x 540 pixels) IPS display and is powered by 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6735M 64-bit processor paired with Mali-T720 GPU and 1GB DDR3 RAM. Onboard storage is 8GB, further expandable via microSD card up to 32GB. It runs Android 5.1 Lollipop with Freedom OS on top. There is an 8-megapixel camera on the back with LED flash and 5-megapixel selfie camera. In addition to 4G LTE, ELITE 2 also supports Dual SIM, 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS connectivity It is backed by a 1900mAH battery.

The Swipe ELITE 2 comes in Black color and is priced at Rs. 4,666. It will be available exclusively via Flipkart starting November 8. At the said price tag, ELITE 2 becomes the most affordable 4G smartphone available in the country, taking the crown from Lenovo A2010.

The brand has also partnered with online taxi provider Uber to host exclusive preview sale of the ELITE 2 for Uber customers, where in the company will deliver the phone directly to Uber users in Pune, Hyderabad, Bangalore and Delhi for one week, before it goes on sale on Flipkart.
