Possible specs of BlackBerry Hamburg revealed

Last month BlackBerry CEO revealed that the company plans to launch two Android smartphones later this year. In addition report claimed that the two BlackBerry Android smartphones are code-named Hamburg and Rome. Now one of the phones, speculated to be the Hamburg with model number STH100-x has been spotted on GFXBench bench-marking website revealing key specs.

According to GFXBench, Hamburg will come with 5.2-inch 1080p IPS display and powered by Snapragon 615 SoC w/ Adreno 405 GPU, 3GB RAM, 16GB internal storage, 12MP rear camera w/ LED flash, 5MP front camera and NFC. It will run Android 6.0 Marshmallow. The listing clearly suggests that Hamburg will be a mid-range Android smartphone.

Rumors suggest that the Hamburg will resemble the BlackBerry Z30, and will only have an all-touch display. The other handset Rome will carry a physical keyboard plus touchscreen display.

Last November BlackBerry launched it first Android smartphone, the Priv, which was targeted at the high-end market. Even though, the Priv received positive reviews, but sales were disappointing. The BlackBerry Hamburg and Rome are expected to be priced between  $300 $400 (Rs. 20,000Rs. 26,500), so that it can compete in the mid-range market segment. BlackBerry will release its upcoming mobile device products before the end of this year.
