Oppo R9, R9 Plus gets China's TENAA certification, no Snapdragon 820 on-board


Oppo has already confirmed that it will launch the R9 and R9 Plus on March 17. Ahead of the official launch both the Oppo's devices have received TENAA certification in China. As usual TENAA outs the product shots and specs of Oppo R9 and R9 Plus. (Via)

Since the R9 and R9 Plus were premium offering from Oppo, it was rumore to be powered by Snapdragon 820 SoC or Deca-core Helio X20 SoC, but as per TENAA listing that's not the case, instead they will be powered by octa-core SoC, so the R9 could comes with Helio X10 and R9 Plus comes with Snapdragon 650/652.

Also the Oppo R9 and R9 Plus was rumored to flaunt QHD screen, but as per TENAA, the both will have 1080p screen. The R9 will sport a 5.5-inch AMOLED display, while the R9 Plus will have 6-inch AMOLED display. Both will pack 4GB RAM, but the R9 will comes with 32GB storage and 2850mAh battery, while the R9 Plus will have 64GB storage and 4120mAh battery. Both will also support Oppo's VOOC Rapid Charge technology.

The camera will be same on both Oppo R9 and R9 Plus, as they will have 16-megapixel front and rear camera. They will runs Color OS based Android 5.1 Lollipop, come with fingerprint scanner (built into the home button), Hybrid Dual SIM slot and support 4G LTE connectivity.
