OnePlus X with 5-inch 1080p display, Snapdragon 801 SoC is now official
OnePlus at simultaneous events in New Delhi, London, Jakarta and Beijing, has taken the covers off its first mid-range device, the OnePlus X. It comes in two finishes, Onyx and a limited Ceramic edition. It comes equipped with the Alert Slider switch, which lets you easily switch between three notification alert modes.
The OnePlus X features 5-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) AMOLED display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. Inside there is a 2.3GHz quad-core Snapdragon 801 processor paired with Adreno 330 GPU and 3GB RAM. Onboard storage is 16GB, further expandable via microSD card up to 128GB. It runs Android 5.1.1 Lollipop based Oxygen OS.
For imaging there is 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, phase-detection auto-focus (PDAF) ISOCELL technology, PDAF and f/2.2 aperture. It can record 1080p videos. On the front there is a 8-megapixel camera for selfies.
The phone comes with Hybrid Dual SIM slot, and lets you the second SIM as a microSD slot when required. Connectivity features include 4G LTE, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS. It is fueled by 2525mAh battery.
OnePlus also introduced a new app with the smartphone called OnePlus Radio, which lets you connect to various radio stations.
The OnePlus X Onyx version is priced at Rs. 16,999 and the limited edition Ceramic version is priced at Rs. 22,999. It will release on November 5 for the Onyx version, and November 24 for the Ceramic version. OnePlus said that it will make only 10,000 units of the Ceramic edition. OnePlus X Onyx version will be available exclusively on Amazon India. Weekly open sales will begin from second month (December), said the company.
