Online retailer Amazon.com is reportedly working on a $50 tablet, which is half the price of the company's most affordable Fire tablet, Fire HD 6 priced at $99. Possible specs of the $50 tablet has surfaced online via GFXBench website.

Inside there is a 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek MT8127 ARM cortex-A7 processor with Mali 450 GPU and 1GB RAM. On-board storage is 8GB and for there is 2-megapixel rear and 0.3-megapixel VGA front facing cameras. The tablet runs Android 5.1 Lollipop, which means it will likely ship with Amazon's Fire OS 5.

By comparison, the $99, Fire HD 6 comes with 6-inch display with 1280 x 800 pixels resolution, quad-core MediaTek MT8135 processor with PowerVR G6200 graphics and 1GB RAM. Comes in two storage options- 8GB or 16GB and sports 2-megapixel rear and 0.2-megapixel front camera.
