CES 2015 : Asus Announces ZenFone 2 And ZenFone Zoom

Now we know what the “see what others can’t see” tagline means which ASUS teased before the CES 2015.

Asus announced its second genertaion of of its ZenFone range of Android smartphones at CES 2015, Las Vegas - The ASUS Zenfone 2 and ZenFone Zoom. The ASUS ZenFone 2 features all-new ergonomic luxary design with graceful curved case while the Zenfone Zoom is the world's thinnest 3X optical smartphone. 

First up, the Asus Zenfone 2 is dual-SIM smartphone with LTE connectivity and features a  5.5-inch, IPS display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. The handset is powered by 64-bit 2.3GHz Intel Atom Z3580 chipset.Graphics computing power is provided by a PowerVR Series 6 - G6430 GPU that supports OpenGL 3.0. The handset features a whooping 4GB RAM. The Zenfone 2 will be sold in 16, 32 or 64 GB of internal storage depending on markets. The device runs Android Lollipop 5.0 with brand new ZenUi on top.

Camera features include 13-megapixel rear camera with auto focus lens and dual-color real tone flash. There is a 5-megapixel camera on the front with wide angel lens with selfie Panorama. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, NFC, OTG supported microUSB port and GPS, A-GPS, GLONASS navigation sensors. The device is backed by a 3000mAh LiPo battery.
 The ASUS ZenFone Zoom has the same features as the ZenFone 2: Same Zen UI, processor, Camera, RAM and connectivity options. The main difference is in the thickness and the 10-element lens that includes a 3x optical zoom function.

The Asus ZenFone 2 will be available in Osmium Black, Sheer Gold, Glacier Gray, Glamor Red and Ceramic White colour variants, priced at $199 (Rs. 12,000) and will be available in second quarter of 2015. The Asus ZenFone Zoom will be available in Q2 2015 in Meteorite black and Glacier white colors variants and will be priced $399 (Rs. 24,000).
